Have you ever fallen off the wagon? Lost your motivation? While you started with so much energy on a new habit?
But after a while you realise that you stopped doing what you should be to get closer to your goals...
Good intentions are not enough to create a new habit. Whatever it is, for example calling your friends more often, meditating more, or shopping less, you need a hack!
Before I share my nugget of wisdom with you, let me answer the question: YES. I have fallen off the wagon. My wagon was the 'meditation wagon' and my goal was to meditate every day. However, my good intention quickly faded into the background of my busy life and I stopped prioritising this habit. Sound familiar?
Luckily I figured what is stopping me from achieving my goals and from sticking to my desired habits. And I want to share it with you.
Think about your goal as a mountain.
Instead of looking towards the summit and thinking "I have so far to go!"
Take small steps.
Look back and celebrate how far you have already come.
By shifting perspective to how far you have already come, it is easier to continue. Be kind to yourself and take it one step at a time.
